Welcome to the Lloyd A. Jacobs Interprofessional Immersive Simulation Center (IISC)
Designed with a primary focus on enhancing patient safety and elevating the quality of care, the Interprofessional Immersive Simulation Center at the University of Toledo is dedicated to training healthcare professionals in Northwest Ohio. Employing cutting-edge methods such as high-fidelity simulation models, simulated clinical environments, and virtual immersive environments, the center aims to provide hands-on and immersive learning experiences. Beyond its educational role, the IISC functions as a dynamic hub for innovation, actively fostering collaborations with industry partners to incubate and advance novel products, processes, and procedures in the healthcare domain.
Future Doctors Camp
Coming next Summer: Embark on an innovative journey at The Future Doctors Camp designed to inspire and guide aspiring medical professionals. Discover the medical world, gain hands-on experience and ignite your passion for a career in medicine! The camp is open to current or incoming undergraduate students who are 18 or older passionate about pursuing a career in medicine.
Our "Tri-Center Concept" at the IISC allows for a self-sufficient co-existence between the three centers that provides unprecedented experiential and experimental opportunities for interprofessional and interdisciplinary collaboration with healthcare and technology. The synergy between the three centers offers a unique collaborative environment for innovation focused on improving the human condition through greatly enhancing healthcare education, patient care and innovates technology opportunities across UToledo and Northwest Ohio.

Accreditation
The Lloyd A. Jacobs Interprofessional Immersive Simulation Center is accredited by the American College of Surgeons as a level-one comprehensive simulation center. This is the highest designation a simulation center can achieve. The Simulation Center continues to be one of 95 centers worldwide with this exclusive accreditation.
