B.A. in English, Literature Concentration

Both concentrations require a minimum of 36 credit hours in English, with an additional 18 credit hour in related fields. See below about related fields. Any Independent Study course in English must meet the department's Independent Study Policy.

Both concentrations: The major requires 18 total credit hours in related fields outside of English, half of which must be at the 3000- or 4000 level. These are usually chosen from the other humanities, the social sciences, and interdisciplinary program. The related fields may also be satisfied by taking a minor, or a second major. Consult with your advisor about minors, second majors, and/or appropriate related courses	18 credits
