Dr. Nancy Collins graduated cum laude from The University of Toledo with a B.S. in Biology. She served as the director of the Allogenic Stem Cell Facility at Sloan-Kettering for 18 years and is currently the director of the Cytotherapy Laboratory at Memorial Hospital for Cancer and Allied Diseases, and an Associate Lab Member at the Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She is the co-founder of the International Society of Cellular Therapy (ISCT), is active on many editorial/oversight boards on stem cell research and transplantation issues including the National Marrow Donor Program and the Editorial Board of Cytotherapy, and she is on an external NIH review board to examine how to facilitate the transition of cellular therapies from the research bench to the patient bedside. In 2002, Dr. Collins was given the Lifetime Contribution Award by the International Society for Cellular Therapy. |

Senator Beverly Hammerstrom represents the 17th District in the Michigan Senate and currently serves as the Majority Floor Leader of the Michigan State Senate. Before being elected to the Senate in 1998, Ms. Hammerstrom served three terms in the Michigan House of Representatives from 1993-1998. She also served as the Bedford Township Clerk from 1980-1992, and chair of the Monroe County Republicans from 1983-1990. In addition to her work in the Senate, she is also involved in many organizations including Women in Government (state director), American Legislative Exchange Council, National Conference of State Legislatures, and Council of State Governments. |

A Toledo native, Dr. Scott Lozanoff graduated cum laude as an Anthropology major in 1977 from The University of Toledo. From 1984-1987 he was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada, before heading to the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada to become an associate professor of anatomy (medicine) and oral biology (dentistry)—during which time he earned the Munkacsi Award for excellence in pre-clinical teaching in 1992. He now serves as the co-director of the Institute for Biogenesis Research at the University of Hawaii School of Medicine, the very institute where the first mice were cloned and the first green fluorescent mice were produced. The author of over 100 scientific publications, book chapters and abstracts, Dr. Lozanoff is frequently an invited professor at numerous medical schools. |

Mr. Allan Williams is a general manager of Broadway and touring plays and musicals at Alan Wasser Associates, a theatrical general management firm, as well as a theatrical tour booking and marketing agency, where he has become a partner. Born and raised in Toledo, OH, he received his B.A. in Theatre from the University of Toledo in 1979. From here, he went on to earn a Masters degree in Theatre Management from the University of Michigan, after which he immediately moved to New York City. In the 20+ years since he arrived in NYC, he has been involved on numerous Broadway productions and national and international tours, including A Chorus Line, The Rink (starring Liza Minnelli and Chita Rivera), Death of A Salesman (starring Dustin Hoffman), Miss Saigon, Fosse, and Oklahoma!, to name just a few. His company is currently represented by the productions of The Phantom of the Opera (Broadway and touring), All Shook Up, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Les Miserables. |
