The UT Difference
If you’re looking to move forward in your organization, change jobs, jump to a different career, or you’re just looking for professional development, one of the best options for professionals is the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. The MBA degree is the gold standard in professional development, recognized by professionals worldwide. If you’re looking to enhance your career opportunities, there isn’t a better choice than to pursue an MBA.

But why pursue an MBA at The University of Toledo? With the increasing number of MBA programs being offered in-person and online, why should you go to UT? There are a number of reasons why the UT MBA stands above many competitors in the Midwest.

Designed for the working professional. Simply put, your life circumstances change, sometimes unexpectedly. We know that professionals working full-time usually can’t leave their jobs to pursue a graduate degree full-time, which is why the majority of our classes are offered in the evening. Our program is also very flexible, allowing students to take as many or as little courses as they can. We offer courses and program entry in the fall, spring and summer, unlike some programs that only allow students to start the program in the fall.

World-class faculty. Faculty members in the College of Business Administration have earned more UT Teaching Excellence Awards than any other college unit at The University of Toledo. Dr. Clint Longenecker, an internationally-known business professional, motivational speaker and author, was recently honored with his third consecutive “Best Prof” Award by the Toledo City Paper. A recent ranking of business schools worldwide revealed that The University of Toledo's College of Business Administration places ninth overall in the number of articles published in the Journal of Operations Management, regarded by many as the top journal in the field of operations and supply chain management.

Internationally respected and accredited. The MBA program at UT is fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), which is regarded as the top-level accrediting body of business schools. This organization, founded by the world’s most recognizable institutions of higher education, has only accredited 15% of business schools worldwide. AACSB accreditation ensures students and employers that the MBA program at The University of Toledo meets a worldwide standard of excellence in teaching; faculty accomplishments and qualifications; updated facilities; and service to students.

If you’re looking for an MBA that matters, AACSB accreditation ensures that you will be receiving a top-notch education at UT which is respected around the world.

Large-school resources, small-school feel. The University of Toledo is the third-largest institution of higher education in the state of Ohio, which offers you numerous resources as a graduate student, including use of the Student Recreation Center; Carlson Library; and the Student Union, just to name a few. The UT MBA program offers the opportunity to learn in a tight-knit community with small class sizes averaging about 40 students. We believe that peer interaction is a key driver of the learning process, and our small class sizes emphasize and reinforce that belief in our students and faculty members.
