Using the Right Documents at the Port of Entry
The school's I-20 used to obtain your F-1 (student) visa will be presented to the border official upon entering the United States. The border official requires that you attend that school for at least one term before being eligible to transfer to another school.
Upon entry, you will be issued a Form I-94 (white card). This is an important document. Be certain to print your name on the card as it appears on the identification page of your passport.
