The University of Toledo provides several quality and exciting fitness programs that can help you acheive your personal fitness goals! Here are the programs that the Fitness and Wellness program has to offer:
Rocket-Ex: Fitness classes and Programs are open to all SRC members and their guests > 18 years of age. They are non-credit and are free with exception of Personal Training. Classes last approximately one hour and are held on a walk-in basic. Funded in part by the student general fee.
Rocket Waves: This is an aquatic aerobics class.Spinning: This group exercise class simulates outdoor cycling on a stationary bike. Classes are taught by a Certified Spinning® instructor.
Body Composition: Percent body fat and lean body weight are measured to provide participants with an estimate of their body composition. Testing and results are confidential.
Walk-in Fitness Testing: Find out your fitness level. Tests to measure cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, blood pressure and percent body fat are offered. Clinics are held every other week through out the semester, just stop in the Wellness Center during a scheduled clinic.
Equipment Demonstration: Designed to illustrate how to use the different types of weight machines and also instructs each participant on how to develop their own weight training program consisting of upper and lower body exercises.
Personal Fitness Appointment: Designed to assist SRC members 14 years of age and older with their health & fitness goals.

Tai Chi: Tai Chi is a non-aggressive sequence of discipline and slow movements that can help release tension and stress. Yang style classes are offered. Registration is required.
Karate: Participants of all levels are provided the basics of Shorinryu & Shotokan Karate and can advance to brown belt locally. Registration is required.
