EXPLORATORY SCHOLARS

The Exploratory Scholars learning community is for students admitted into the Exploratory Studies program within University College. The learning community creates an environment that will support your academic skills development, career and major exploration, and professional growth.

Exploratory Scholars Benefits

  • Participate in a series of courses intended to support and build your academic skills
  • Opportunities to work with faculty and peer mentors to learn more about UToledo’s undergraduate majors and associated career options
  • Develop a sense of belonging and skills to ensure academic success

As an Exploratory Scholar, you will be placed into a learning community based on your major interest area (meta-major), with the goal of successful placement into an academic major by the end of your first academic year. You will also be paired with a Peer Mentor,  who will provide support and guidance to first -time, Exploratory Studies students.
