Membership is open to all retired University of Toledo employees who have participated in either the State Teachers Retirement System or the Public Employees Retirement System, and their spouses. Surviving spouses of all UT retirees are also eligible to join UTRA. Life membership is also available. Active members are retirees and their spouses who have paid dues for the current year.
Facts about UTRA
- Founded in 1995 with a database of 800 retirees.
- Membership is open to all retired University Emplyees. $15 annual and $125 for a lifetime membership.
- TOWER TALK, UTRA's own newsletter is published three times per year and mailed to all retirees.
- A scholarship is endowed this year (2004) and will be awarded yearly to a descendent of a UT retiree.
- Dental and Vision benefits available to all dues paying members.
- Many social activities throughout the year, simply click on calendar of events to find UTRA's activities.
- UTRA is a division of The University of Toledo Alumni Association and is an active participant in Ohio Council of Higher Education Retirees (OCHER).
