Julie Cornell Freniere is a second year Masters student at The University of Toledo. Julie graduated from Lourdes College in Spring 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. At Lourdes, Julie was inducted into The Lambda Nu Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta. She also was awarded The Best Narrative Prize for her paper “We Shall Either Hold the City or Die There: The Fight for Stalingrad,” which is published in The Lourdes College Online Narrative History Journal: Tell Me a Story. She hopes to publish more work focusing on Russian History as she continues her studies here at The University of Toledo.
