This new Ritter Planetarium production is a hybrid live and multimedia program that takes a look at the stars. What are stars? How do they begin? What keeps them shining? What ultimately happens to them when they run low on fuel? We’ll take a whirlwind tour of the Milky Way and the night sky and look at exotic objects like supernovae, white dwarfs, and black holes.

Produced by the Minneapolis Planetarium, “Amazing Stargazing” is a fun, fast-paced, and thrilling introduction to many aspects of the nighttime sky for children of all ages. This radio-style program covers constellations, shooting stars, comets, and moons, among other things.
Saturday afternoon children’s programming will resume in September.

Have you ever looked up at the night sky and been intimidated by all those points of light? They're really not that hard to figure out. Anyone who's ever asked, "Where's the North Star?" needs to watch this show! The night sky doesn’t have to be so confusing. It can even be useful -- getting you out of all sorts of unpleasant situations.

How did Lewis and Clark know where they were when they were in the middle of nowhere? Find out when you see this new planetarium program. You’ll learn how Lewis and Clark used the positions of the Sun and other celestial objects to estimate where they were. You’ll see how you can do it too.

Observing Opportunities
Observing will follow each Friday evening program, weather permitting, at Brooks Observatory, except on June 6, July 11, and August 1, when observing will be held at Ritter Observatory.
Admission
Admission to all Public Planetarium Programs is $5 for adults and $4 for children (3 and older) and seniors. Reservations are not accepted. Doors open 30 minutes before each program.
