As our planet and Mars orbit the sun, the distance between us can vary greatly. In December of 2007 and January of 2008, these two planetary neighbors are relatively close together. As a result, Mars is shining brightly in the eastern sky in the early evening hours, and we will have awesome views through our telescopes.
Our first attempt at holding Mars Watch in December 2007 was completely clouded out. Let's hope for better weather in 2008!
Reservations are not accepted. Guests can arrive any time after 8:00 and stay for a few minutes or a couple of hours. We will also be viewing other objects during the evening.
