Registration Problems in Banner
As you register for summer and fall terms on the web, please note that the new Banner system cannot currently comprehend hours and course prerequisites in the same way that the old system did. Therefore, if you have been advised to register for a course and the system tells you that you do not meet a pre-req, please call the COBA Student Services Center at 419-530-2087, M-F 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., and let us know the course or courses you are having difficulty registering for. We will verify the prerequisite, enter an approval into the system and then you will be able to register for the course. If you know you may have a prerequisite problem with a course, you may contact the COBA Student Services Center prior to your registration date.
Registering for Classes
Early registration for the fall semester usually begins during the third week of March. Currently enrolled students are assigned a registration priority appointment by the Office of the Registrar based on the student's potential earned hours for the upcoming term. At their appointed day and time, students register for the fall semester.
Summer registration usually begins during the first week of January. Since registration appointments are not assigned for summer registration, students are encouraged to register as early as possible.
UT will no longer register students for the fall and spring semesters at one time. As such, scheduling spring classes will take place during the fall, usually around October. Registration priority dates for the spring 2009 semester will be announced in the fall.
Business Student Instructions for RegistrationWeb registration is available 7:00 am-11:55 pm. Weekend hours may vary depending on system availability.
Under special circumstances students may need to register in-person in Rocket Hall, room 1100. These cases include: an instructor's signature is required to enter the course; the course is closed and therefore requires the instructor's signature; and registration for an internship.
