VCC LEARNING MODES
Three interactive learning modes** are available:DISCOVERY, EXAMINATION and CODE SCENARIO**education.
Discovery mode is designed self paced learning or review of the entire cart and it's
contents. It provides users the opportunity to explore the cart in different ways
to help build accuracy and proficency at locating cart items. |
|
|
• Exploratory mode allows the user to open drawers and investigate all of the contents. Rolling
over an item reveals the name to ensure proper identification. Items can be magnified
and rotated and for closer inspection (using the center mouse wheel). |
• Checklist mode provides preset lists of items to locate deliver to the drag and drop area provided
on the screen. Custom lists can be programmed in for an additonal cost. • Random Item Quiz mode will provide a selected number of items pulled randomly from the cart's contents. Users may select from 5, 10 or 20 items to locate and deliver to the drag and drop area provided on the screen. |
Examination mode provdes scored testing options that check user's accuracy and proficency
at identifying and delivering specifically requested code cart items. |
Code Scenario mode is designed to test your proficiency in reacting to simulated
commands during a cardiac arrest code. Learners are stepped through a sequence of events of a code scenario, advancing from easy to more complex and advanced mega codes. |
|
Each simulation code scenario is described step by step. As directed by the events,
multiple items from the cart will be required. A list of required items is presented
and learner is required to locate, identify and deliver to the drag and drop area
provided on the screen. Only one location attempt is permitted and correct and incorrect
attempts are scored. Additional code scenarios can be created for an additional fee. |
**All modes have a limited number of options that can be customized by UT staff development based on the learners discipline and skill set.
