    Equal Opportunity
The University of Toledo has declared a policy of providing equal opportunity in all policies and procedures affecting employment and education. In conjunction with the objectives of the policy and in accordance with the various local, state, and Federal laws, rules and regulations, the University is committed to providing employment and educational opportunities without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, sexual orientation, veteran status and/or the presence of a disability. Ohio Ethics Law
The Ohio Ethics Law recognizes that many public officials and employees are in a position to make or influence decisions that directly affect their personal interests, and specifically makes illegal this type of activity. Generally, public officers or employees may not participate in matters that involve their own financial interests, or those of their family or business associates, and may not use, or authorize the use of, their public position to benefit themselves or others in circumstances that create a conflict of interest where objectivity could be impaired, or impropriety inferred.

As employees of the State of Ohio, all University of Toledo employees are subject to the Ohio Ethics Law as outlined in the Ohio Revised Code. Employees are required by law to read, understand, abide by, and adhere to these laws. A complete text can be read by clicking here.
