What's new at Mulford?
Welcome, new students, and welcome back, returning students! We’re here with services, resources, and facilities to help you succeed! After 7:00 pm, access to the Mulford Library Building is restricted to UToledo students, faculty, and staff. Use your access card to get into the building. If you are based on Main Campus, request door access for HSC proxy card on the Students tab in MyUT. Items available for checkout at the fourth floor service desk: laptops, headphones, phone chargers, MacBook chargers, dry-erase markers and erasers, tech boxes for conference rooms, skeleton and skull boxes. Bring your badge to the desk. Mulford Library’s regular hours are Sunday-Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 midnight. Hours of Operation

2025 HSC Artist Showcase Call for Submissions

The University Libraries is calling for submissions for the 2025 Health Science Campus Artist Showcase at the Mulford Library. Each year this exhibit showcases visual art from faculty, staff, and students in the health sciences at The University of Toledo. 2025 marks the 20th year of the show.

Submissions are accepted from faculty, staff and students affiliated with the Health Science Campus, The University of Toledo Medical Center and pharmacy and health science faculty, staff, and students on Main Campus.

Original artwork in a variety of media, genres and forms are accepted, including, but not limited to, paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture, pottery, glass, and mixed media. Artwork does not need to adhere to any specific theme.

“All of us at the Mulford Library are excited to celebrate the 20^th anniversary of the HSC Artist Showcase. The longevity of this event is a testament to the diverse array of talented artists who have participated throughout the years.”

Submissions are now open and are accepted until Monday, Jan. 6, 2025. The HSC Artist Showcase will open on Monday, Feb. 3, and run through April 1, at the Mulford Library. An artist reception will be held on Friday, Feb. 7 from 5-7 p.m., featuring a lecture by Gerald Natal (Associate Professor, University Libraries) on outsider art.

Instructions and an online form for submitting artwork to the HSC Artist Showcase can be found at libguides.utoledo.edu/hscart. If you are unable to submit your work via the online form, please contact Jodi Jameson (jodi.jameson@utoledo.edu) to make alternate arrangements.

OhioLINK is embarking upon an agreement with Cambridge University Press (CUP) with two major benefits for students and faculty at institutions of higher education in Ohio. This deal provides expanded access to important published research from Cambridge University Press and is the first such “Read & Publish” deal with an open access publishing component for OhioLINK.
