Application Requirements for Residency

Applications for the Anesthesiology residency program at UToledo are accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). When the ERAS application season starts in September, we will be accepting applications for the five PGY1 positions that will be available to start July 1, 2027.

Successful candidates generally score 230 or higher on Step 2
Pass both Step 1 & 2 of USMLE’s or equivalent on the first attempt
Application within 5 years of medical school graduation
Deans letter (MSPE) and two letters of recommendation*
Valid ECFMG certificate (if applicable)

Eligible to gain lawful employment in the United States

* If you are an International Medical Graduate (IMG) and do not have a Dean's letter, we will need 3 letters of recommendation.
