Application Requirements for Residency
Applications for the Anesthesiology residency program at UToledo are accepted through
the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). When the ERAS application season starts in September, we will be accepting applications
for the 5 PGY1 positions that will be available to start the following July 1.
- Successful candidates generally score 85 (2 digit)/210 (3 digit) or higher on both Steps 1 & 2 of USMLE’s, on the first attempt
- Application within 5 years of medical school graduation
- Dean's Letter and two letters of reference *
- Valid ECFMG certificate (if applicable)
- Transcripts
* If you are an International Medical Graduate (IMG) and do not have a Dean's letter,
we will need 3 letters of reference.
Note: The Department of Anesthesiology only sponsors the J-1 Visa
