Student Service-Learning Programs

Service Learning Community: This community of students in the Crossings dorm has committed to doing service and reflection each month and is led by a group of student Service Ambassadors.... [click for more information]

M3C Program – Midwest Citizen-Scholar Compact: This program for US citizens and resident aliens offers a $1000 education award for completing 300 hours of service over the course of a year.... [click for more information]

Work Study - OSLCE coordinates off-campus student work study at area non-profits and works to place students according to their interests. You do service AND get paid!... [click for more information]

Service Ambassadors - Student leaders who want to do more to promote service on campus AND get the leadership and skills training to help them do it can apply to be a Service-Learning Ambassador.  Ambassadors recieve a small stipend each semester for the yearly position and can work in multiple areas: Service-Learning Community Ambassadors, Work Study Ambassadors, Faculty Ambassadors, or M3C Ambassadors.  [click for more information] Click here for more information on the recruitment of 2008-2009 SL Ambassadors 

Service Opportunities - The Office of Service-Learning has established relationships with many agencies in the community and has collected service opportunities for students to pursue. [click for a list of service opportunities] We also have a list of area agencies that we would be happy to help students get involved with.  [click for a list of agencies]

 

Service Learning Monthly - The Office of Service Learning publishes a monthly newsletter to highlight accomplishments and upcoming events for students, including the Service-Learning Community, the work study program, M3C fellows, classes, and more!  Check out our past issues:
